From Yogyakarta

Yogyakarta is the cultural centre of Java and the base most visitors use for Borobudur and Prambanan. Tugu station is walking distance from Malioboro and handles eksekutif services; Lempuyangan, further out, serves ekonomi departures. Trains run west to Jakarta and Bandung, east to Solo and Surabaya, and there is a dedicated rail link to Yogyakarta International Airport at Kulon Progo, roughly 40km away.
